Contained within this section are many valuable tools for school nurses, who are often on the front lines, helping to manage students' asthma and allergies.

We have divided this section into three areas.

The first, Tools for School Nurse as Teacher, contains items that school nurses can download to give to teachers, physical education instructors, and other school staff in order to support them in the management of children with asthma and allergies at school.

There are also items in this toolkit that are available mainly for school nurses' education and information.

The second section, Tools for Teaching Students with Asthma/Allergies and their Parents, contains tools designed for "the teachable moment" between school nurses and their students with respiratory disease.

Some of these tools can be sent home with students to their parents in order to facilitate education and a better line of communication between students with asthma and allergies, their parents, health providers and school staff.

The third section, Spanish Language Tools for Teaching Students with Asthma/Allergies and Their Parents contains Spanish-language materials for school nurses to recommend to their Spanish-speaking students and their parents.
